The Science

HOW IT WORKS

Renamel® is built from nano-hydroxyapatite — the same mineral that makes up 97% of your enamel — so it rebuilds teeth from within rather than just coating them.

Renamel Advanced Repair Toothpaste

The Biomimetic Difference

Your enamel is roughly 97% hydroxyapatite. Renamel® is built from the same mineral — so instead of coating teeth, it integrates with them.

Fluoride works by forming a harder protective barrier on the surface. Nano-hydroxyapatite rebuilds enamel from within — its particles seek out microscopic damage and fill it in, becoming part of your tooth structure.3

Same mineral as your teeth · integrates rather than coats · works progressively

What happens each time you brush

1
Disperse

Nano-hydroxyapatite particles spread across the tooth surface as you brush.

2
Seek & fill

Particles find microscopic surface damage and open dentinal tubules, and fill them in.

3
Integrate

A calcium-phosphate reservoir keeps enamel super-saturated with minerals, enhancing remineralisation and inhibiting demineralisation.

4
Strengthen

Each brushing session builds on the last — progressive, cumulative repair.

The mechanisms in detail

Remineralisation & super-saturation

The same mineral that makes up 97% of enamel. Nano-hydroxyapatite maintains a state of super-saturation at the tooth surface, continuously enhancing remineralisation and inhibiting demineralisation.3

Because the particles are the exact mineral your teeth are made of, they don't just sit on the surface — they integrate with existing tooth structure, repairing microscopic damage from the inside out.

Sealing dentinal tubules

Sensitivity happens when microscopic channels (dentinal tubules) let stimuli reach the nerve. Nano-hydroxyapatite physically seals these tubules with the same mineral your teeth are made of — addressing the cause rather than numbing the symptom.19

Unlike numbing agents, the seal builds and improves with continued daily use.

Brightening without bleach

Two mechanisms, no peroxide bleaching: an immediate optical effect from a smoother surface, plus a long-term white, opaque micro-layer that masks yellowing from deeper dentin.8

Because nothing is bleached, brightening is compatible with sensitive teeth — it actually reduces sensitivity while it works.

A metabolic trap for cavity bacteria

Xylitol is non-fermentable: cavity-causing bacteria take it up as if it were sugar but can’t metabolise it efficiently — a metabolic energy trap that limits their growth and acid production.

Combined with smoother, mineral-rich enamel surfaces (less plaque adhesion) and probiotic support, the result is a more balanced oral environment.10,16
